After completing renovations, the Yavapai County Recorder's office in Prescott is once again offering a behind the scenes look at their processes. You will be able to follow your ballot through the process of an informative and fun mock election. This is a great opportunity to educate yourself on how elections are run in Arizona.
A slot is being held for us to attend a tour on Thursday, May 9 at the Prescott recorder's office. The tour starts at 9 am and lasts about 3 hours. If we have sufficient interest we'll set up a car pool and travel together to the office, probably departing the Sedona and Verde Valley area around 7:30 am. The location and route for carpooling will depend on who signs up. If there is interest, we can find a place for lunch as well, before returning to our starting location.
This is a time sensitive response - the recorder will hold our tour for a short time, but there is likely to be high demand for these events. Please reply to Maryann Kenney at mckenney007@gmail.com by 3pm Monday April 29. Please include your name, year of birth and address (required by the Recorder to sign up for the tour).
I will let all who respond know if we will go ahead with this plan.
It should be a fun and informative morning!
Yours in League,
Maryann |
