Subject: Worried about the Election? We have ideas for you
From: LWVNAZ

For many voters, these are stressful times

We understand.  For over 100 years the League of Women Voters has been working to protect and expand voting rights to ensure everyone is represented in our democracy.  This year we are facing unprecedented challenges, and we're here to help.  Here are 5 concrete things you can do this election cycle.
1. Be Informed

Use trusted sources, share only accurate information.  Vote411, described below, is an excellent resource.  Another is the "What's on my ballot" election pamphlet from the Secretary of State. This contains general voting information as well as information on ballot propositions with individual arguments for and against.  If you haven't received one in the mail, you may read an electronic copy by clicking the image below

2.  Understand Mail Voting in Arizona

The Supreme Court recently left in place an injunction blocking the USPS from enforcing rules that would have significantly restricted mail voting.  This is good news for the >70% of voters in Arizona who vote by mail.  MAIL VOTING IS STILL AVAILABLE IN ARIZONA.  Be sure to follow the ballot instructions, seal your envelope and sign in the correct box.  Placing your ballot in a drop box is SAFE AND CONVENIENT.   This maintains the chain of custody directly from your hand to the Elections office.

Vote early - help our election officials do their job in a timely manner, then check your ballot has been received at my.arizona.vote

Or, sign up to automatically receive updates on your ballot status at  trackmyballot.azsos.gov

3.  Help Monitor and Protect Elections

LWVAZ is a partner with the Election Protection Arizona Coalition to work with communities across Arizona to support the right to vote. You can help by signing up to be a nonpartisan poll monitor volunteer.  Every volunteer that signs up means more polling locations are covered and more voters are protected.

4. Use and Promote Vote411

This is a wonderful site for all sorts of voting information prepared by National, State and Local Leagues.  You can find specific information for your ballot and candidates.  If your candidate replied to our requests, you can read their own words.  The site should be fully live for AZ voters in time for early voting.

Tell all your friends and go to the site by clicking the image below

5.  Research the Current Ballot Propositions

Plan your vote for the 2026 Ballot Propositions.  All current members have been mailed a copy of the nonpartisan LWV 2026 Ballot Propositions, describing the propositions and briefly listing arguments supporting and opposing.  Want to know more?  Consult the detailed individual arguments for and against, many from various organizations, in the What's on my ballot Pamphlet.  Click the image below.

None of this would be possible without the many dedicated volunteers at the local, state and national level.  As always, we greatly appreciate your support in time and resources.  If you haven't renewed your membership, please do it now at https://portal.lwv.org.  If you'd like to contribute directly to our local league you can do so via Zelle at lwvnaz@gmail.com.
